IMPORTANT--New MLA '97 Abstract Submission Deadline
Attention--Important notice regarding contributed paper
abstracts for Section Programs at the 1997 MLA
Annual Meeting in Seattle.
Please forward this message to any and all national,
regional and local listservs which are read by librarians
who may want to present a contributed paper at this meeting.
THE DEADLINE FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS HAS
BEEN EXTENDED TO **OCTOBER 15, 1996**
Review priority, however, will be given to papers received
by the original October 1 deadline.
Submit two copies of the abstract for each proposed paper
(maximum 350 words) and clearly mark each copy with the
Section name(s) and program title in the upper right-hand
corner (see program listing in the August 1996 issue of
the MLA News on pages 11-12 or on the MLANET Website --
URL: http://www.kumc.edu/MLA/MLA97/call_for_papers.html).
List all authors and their institutional affiliations on
one copy with complete address, telephone and email
information. Do NOT include author or institutional
affiliation information on the second copy (which will
be used in the blind review process).
Both copies should be sent by surface mail, telefacsimile
or email (by October 15) to:
