Liebe INETBIB'ler,
unter folgendem URL finden Sie eine grosse Zahl von Quellen fuer
Online-Worterbuecher in allen denkbaren Sprachen.
Kennt
jemand die aktuell korrekten URLs?

Subject: Experimental Biology: a promising e-journal
Experimental Biology
At one of the sites (Society for Experimental Biology) there appeared a
new electronic journal, Experimental Biology, that might be of interest to
others. Here's the address:
http://science.springer.de/ebo/ebo-main.htm
The first two years are free. The journal is promising a four-week
turn-a-round from submission and review to electronic publication. They
hope to specialize in short communications and will be a rigorously
peer-reviewed publication. One of the novel features is that authors will
be able to include movies and sound within their electronic document. The
journal is the result of the cooperative effort of three societies:
Society for Experimental Biology (Great Britain), Society for Integrative
and Comparative Biology (United States), and Australian and New Zealand
Society of Comparative Physiology and Biochemistry.

EDITOR'S WELCOME
I am delighted to welcome visitors to the BSGE Internet Journal and hope
that you will find much of interest in these pages. This journal will
consider for publication original papers,
short reports, case reports, technical developments, reviews and letters to
the editor in the field of endoscopy and endoscopic surgery relating to the
upper female genital tract.
All papers will be considered for publication by the editor whose decision
is final, but then will be subject to open peer review by any person
wishing to participate.
The editorial team will endeavour to place the discussion, if received by
E-Mail or disk, onto the Internet page within 24 hours so a lively and
interactive and spontaneous debate can take place. This Internet site
depends on the active support of all the readers and we hope that everybody
will feel free to take part in the discussion which should be lively and
stimulating.

ABOUT THE BSGE INTERNET JOURNAL
The BSGE Internet Journal has been jointly created by Jeremy Wright
and Nick Tyrrell. to serve the following purposes:
Publication of articles and short communications.
Announcement of meetings and conferences.
Critiques of published articles and book reviews.
Announcements of new devices.
Reporting of complications and concerns.
Development of membership.
The principle advantage of using the Internet is one of speed. Publication
in conventional journals invariably means lengthy delays between submission
and printing. The primary causes of these delays are the reliance on
academic peer review and the logistics of generating the printed word in
monthly or quarterly = periodicals. Use of this new electronic medium
allows a far more dynamic response as articles can now be published to a
world-wide audience in a matter of hours after submission rather than weeks
or months. The Journal is produced for the BSGE by
Nick Tyrrell on the compulink.co.uk server.
Editor: Jeremy Wright. FRCOG. is a Consultant Obstetrican & Gynaecologist
with extensive experience in endoscopic gynaecological and laser surgery.
He teaches widely, both in the UK = and Internationally.
