Journal of Mental Health

http://www.carfax.co.uk/jmh-ad.htm

Under the guidance of a dedicated editorial team, this and future
volumes of JMH will continue to feature work which challenges
assumptions and methods in mental health, has a direct impact on service
provision and clinical practice and encourages lively multidisciplinary
discussion. Emphasis will, as usual, be laid upon issues of management
and "best practice" within the field of mental health, including the
commissioning, purchasing, evaluation and development of services.

In addition to original research papers, issues of JMH regularly feature
special sections, clinical reports and commentaries, conference reports,
book reviews and news and notes for comprehensive coverage.

Disability & Society

http://www.carfax.co.uk/dhs-ad.htm

An international journal providing a focus for debate about such issues
as human rights, discrimination, definitions, policy and practices. It
appears against a background of change in the ways in which disability
is viewed and managed.

Definitions of disability are more readily acknowledged to be relative;
custodial approaches are seen as inadequate and unacceptable - placing
greater emphasis on community care and integration. However, policy
intentions may not have the desired effects on the realities of everyday
practice and policy changes themselves may be merely cosmetic, or
appropriate but unfunded.

While publishing articles that represent all the professional
perspectives, the journal also provides an opportunity for the consumers
of the services to speak for themselves.

Immunity

http://www.cell.com/immunity/index.html

Immunity is a monthly journal that publishes research articles and
reviews of general interest in the entire discipline of immunology. The
foundation of Immunity was based on the belief that advanced in
molecular and cellular immunology have brought immunology to a point at
which a journal of high quality should be able to provide a unifying
intellectual view, but the mandate for Immunity is not restricted to any
particular level of analysis or to any particular type of system. The
title Immunity is meant to indicate a breadth of interest extending
beyond the formal definition of immunology, and into all systems that
contribute to, or interact with, the immune system of the organism.
Submitted articles are reviewed for both technical excellence and
general interest, and those that are accepted are published within ten
weeks.

Online availability includes abstracts and headers. Full journals are
available with a subscription to Immunology.

Subscription Information

A 1996 subscription to Immunity costs $95 for individuals, $390 for
institutions. The foreign subscription rate is $165 for individuals,
$465 for institutions. Individual subscriptions must be paid for with a
personal check or credit card. Subscriptions operate on the calendar
year (January-December) or July-June, if specifically requested.
