NEW IN 1995 FROM OVID TECHNOLOGIES
This year at International Online, Ovid will be demonstrating new
network and standalone products for academic and medical libraries,
including:
OVID FULL TEXT: 15 premier bioscience journals are now available as
Ovid's Core Biomedical Collection. The collection is enriched with
MEDLINE links, fully searchable full text and full color graphics, charts
and tables. Journals included are the New England Journal of Medicine,
The Lancet, British Medical Journal, Science, and Annals of Internal
Medicine. and JAMA.
OVID CLIENT/SERVER: The Z39.50-compliant Ovid Client offers a single
user interface to databases on disparate operating systems worldwide.
The server is now available on four popular Unix platforms.
WORLD WIDE WEB ACCESS TO OVID: We are introducing WWW access to Ovid
databases. Initially, this will be available for locally mounted
Ovid databases, and then for remote databases as well. See our home page
for more information.
NEW BIBLIOGRAPHIC DATABASES available include: In addition to databases
like MEDLINE, Current Contents, PsycINFO, and BIOSIS, we have recently added
ABI/Inform, MLA Bibliography, Newspaper Abstracts, Periodical Abstracts
Research II, sociofile, and Books in Print.
